 Michael Nance grew up in northern Georgia. Graduated from Ringgold High School in 1971. Enlisted the U.S. Army at age 18. Served in Germany for three years while two of his brothers Ed (82nd Airborne) and Larry (Air Force)served in Viet Nam and another brother Gary served in Korea (2nd Infantry)
Michael was a Sergeant E-5 with the 3rd Armored Division stationed near the Fulda Gap at Gelnhausen FRG. He was a track commander of the base gun for the 4.2 inch Mortar platoon and Asst. Platoon Sergeant.
After his Honorable Discharge from the Army Michael attended Brigham Young University and received an Associate of Science Degree in Law Enforcement Justice Administration in 1975. In 1979 Michael received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada.
Michael has two daughters and two sons. His lovely wife Karen works in the Reno area as a registered nurse.
Michael has been a successful small businessm in the Reno area since 1979. It’s possible you may have seen him, in the wee hours of the morning, operating one of his sweeper machines.
